Reflections

Does your student enjoy art, music and dance or have an interest in writing, producing films and taking photos? Encourage them to submit a Reflections entry! This year’s theme, "I Will Change the World By..." and calls for students' unique interpretation through original works of dance, film, music, writing, visual arts and/or photography.


Check back in September for next year’s theme and info!


Arongen artists - reflect on the theme "I Will Change the World By..." and submit an entry in literature, visual arts, photography, music composition, dance choreography, or film production.

Odyssey of the Mind

An international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students from kindergarten through college. Team members apply their creativity to solve problems that range from building mechanical devices to presenting their own interpretation of literary classics. They then bring their solutions to competition on the local, state, and World level. Thousands of teams from throughout the U.S. and from about 25 other countries participate in the program.

Shen Inventors

The Shenendehowa Inventors program is an extra-curricular enrichment program that is focused on the inventing process. By participating in this program, Shen students express creativity and ingenuity by utilizing their scientific, technological, mathematical, language arts and artistic skills. During the project development process, the Shen Inventor will be brainstorming, identifying problems and solutions, designing the invention, conducting research to find new ideas or improvements, and preparing a poster displaying the invention. The goal is to stimulate the development of creativity, imagination and entrepreneurship in students grades K-8.

First Lego League

FIRST® LEGO® League introduces science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to children ages 4-16* through fun, exciting hands-on learning. Participants gain real-world problem solving experience through a guided, global robotics program, helping today's students and teachers build a better future together.

Our three divisions inspire youth to experiment and grow their critical thinking, coding, and design skills through hands-on STEM learning and robotics.
